Sometimes, planning
radiation therapy requires
more than one type of
imaging. Using sophisticated
software, ultrasound, CT,
MRI, and PET scans can be
fused to spare more healthy
tissue or to more accurately
define the tumor. IGRT is
used routinely for treating
certain diseases, and as
diagnostic radiology
continues to find better
ways to distinguish between
normal and tumor tissue
doctors may be able to offer
more effective treatment
with less side effects. ROA
offers this innovative
approach to treatment
routinely for selected cases
where multiple types of
imaging or higher precision
is needed.

Oncology Associates provides
