 Donald
Weiss attended the
University of Chicago
from 1958 to 1961. He
received his Medical
Degree from the
University of Colorado
in 1965. He did his
internship and first
year of general surgery
residency at the USPHS
Hospital, Staten Island,
NY.
After completing his
service obligation, he
did a residency in
general radiology at
Boston City Hospital
from 1968 to 1971. He
was Chief Resident from
1970 to 1971 and then
spent a year as a
Clinical Assistant in
Radiology at Harvard
Medical School.
Subsequently, from 1972
to 1974, he became a
Special Fellow in
Radiation Therapy at The
Joint Center for
Radiation Therapy at
Harvard. He was the
Chief Resident from 1973
to 1974.
In 1974 he joined the
staff at Elliot Hospital
in the practice of
Radiation Oncology and
was a founding member of
Radiation Oncology
Associates, PA. He
became Medical Director
in 1988. He was a
Clinical Instructor in
Radiation Therapy at
Harvard from 1974 to
1986 and is currently an
Adjunct Associate
Professor of Medicine
(Radiation Oncology) at
Dartmouth Medical
School. Throughout his
career he has been
active in clinical
research and is an
Investigator for CALGB
and the NCI.
Dr. Weiss was
instrumental in
establishing
multidisciplinary Tumor
Conferences throughout
New Hampshire. He has
overseen the development
of the Radiation
Oncology programs at
Elliot Hospital,
Wentworth-Douglass
Hospital, the Nashua
Regional Cancer Center,
Concord Hospital and
Exeter Hospital. “For
the past three decades,
it has been my privilege
to help provide state of
the art cancer care to
our patients,” Dr. Weiss
said. |
